How I Travel Cheap

I am NOT RICH. Not am I anywhere close. But I LOVE to travel. Here are my top tips for traveling on a budget:


  1. STAY WITH FRIENDS. When I go to New York, I stay with my friend! Places to stay can honestly take up a huge bulk of your expense, and canceling that out will give you a lot more financial freedom.

  2. FLY OUT OF BIGGER AIRPORTS. Flying out of and into bigger airports can cut down significantly on flight costs. My ticket I booked recently from Baltimore-Washington Airport to Denver was only $65 ROUND TRIP!! $65!!!!

  3. FIND A WAY TO MAKE MONEY ON YOUR TRIP. Take on a remote project, or advertise photography! There's a lot of ways to make a little cash while you're traveling.
